Skoda Karoq SUV Spotted At Service Station Ahead Of Launch

Skoda`s new SUV Karoq is all set to launch on the 26th of May. The Czech carmaker will also be launching the Rapid TSI and the Superb facelift alongside the Karoq. All the cars will be launched online through a digital event due to the lockdown.

The Skoda Karoq will be available in a single “Style” trim variant. The company has opened bookings for the SUV and interested buyers can book the SUV at a dealership or online for a token amount of Rs. 50,000.

The 2020 Karoq SUV has been spotted again at a service station ahead of the launch. It was originally showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and all the details about the car were revealed to the public except for the pricing.

On the design front, the Karoq has a familiar stance and looks like a scaled down version of its elder sibling the Skoda Kodiaq. It gets all-LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, signature butterfly grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, Skoda badging at the rear and a panoramic sunroof. The 2020 Karoq will be available in 6 colour options namely :- Quartz Grey, Magnetic Brown, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Lava Blue and Magic Black.

Inside the cabin the SUV gets black and beige interiors along with beige faux leather upholstery. Creature comforts include an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Smart Link connectivity, electrically adjustable driver`s seat, ambient cabin lighting, dual zone climate control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ABS with EBD, ESC, nine airbags, Park Tronic System and much more.

Skoda-Karoq-spotted-before-launch

Under the hood, the SUV will get its power from a 1.5 litre TSI turbo petrol motor. The engine produces 148 bhp of power and 250 Nm of twisting force mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Karoq will be brought into India via the CBU route. As a result, it is expected to be priced at Rs. 20 lac ex-showroom.
