The 2019 version of the Kawasaki Z650 has been launched in India priced at Rs. 5.29 lakhs. Influenced by Kawasaki`s Sugomi design philosophy, the new Z650 is a stunner to look at with aggressive and sharper lines. The mid-weight naked class is Rs, 10,000 more than the outgoing model.
Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd, said, “In this festive season we already have launched Versys 650 and Z900 of MY2019. Now we are introducing Z650 MY2019 as it is one of our best versatile bikes. It is commendable for long tours, useful in traffic and good on the track also.”
On the mechanical front the 2019 Z650 remains unchanged. Powering the bike is a 650cc liquid cooled twin DOHC motor with 8 valves and a six-speed transmission. The engine produces 68 PS of power and 66 Nm of twisting force. The light weight chassis which weighs only 15 kgs, helps in the bike`s easy handling.
Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm front forks and a rear monoshock. Stopping power on the 2019 Kawasaki Z650 is provided by 300 mm dual disc brakes at the front and 220 mm single piston calipers at the rear.
Feature wise the bike gets ABS, Assist and Slipper Clutch and economy riding indicator. The mid-weight naked class is Rs, 10,000 more than the outgoing model.
Color choices include Metallic Flat Spark Black / Metallic Spark Black color. Bookings are now open naked bike, which rivals the likes of the Hyosung Aquila Pro 650, Benelli TNT600i, Harley-Davidson Street 750, and Kawasaki Vulcan S.
