2019 Honda City ZX MT(Petrol) launched, priced at Rs. 12.75 lakhs

The Honda City sedan has been the most successful model for the Japanese car maker. Honda has now introduced a top spec ZX manual variant with a manual transmission. Till now customers could only purchase a fully loaded petrol variant of the City sedan with a CVT transmission. The ZX MT is priced at Rs. 12.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It is 1.3 lakhs cheaper than the CVT variant.

Equipment wise the manual ZX variant gets all the equipment that is available on the CVT trim. The ZX MT gets LED headlamps with DRLs, six-airbags, electric sunroof, rain sensing wipers, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Honda City now comes in two new colours – Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic.

Honda said that, it introduced the ZX MT variant owing to the high demand for a manual transmission in the top spec petrol trim. The automaker has also updated all the City variants with rear parking sensors which now come as standard equipment.

In 2019, Honda is all set to re-introduce the latest-gen Civic in India. The new Civic will be available with both petrol and diesel engines mated to a manual gearbox. The petrol model will also be available with an automatic transmission.
