Skoda India has launched the 2018 Skoda Superb Sportline in India. The D-segment sedan gets sharper styling cues along with sportier accents. The company has opened bookings for the New Skoda Superb Sportline at Skoda dealerships for a down payment of Rs, 50,000.
The Superb Sportline is positioned between the Style trim and the Laurent & Klement variant. The Sportline trim get an enticing new red paint job with black exterior treatment.
It gets a blackened exterior package which replaces the chrome accents which are seen on the regular variant. The exterior changes include gloss black finish for headlamp inserts and grille which is also seen on side skirts, boot lid spoiler and mirror caps. Apart from this the alloy wheels also get a black gloss finished dual tone.
The interiors of the Superb Sportline have been spruced to justify the Sportline tag. It gets a 3 spoke multifunction steering wheel with a twin dial instrument cluster, sporty seats with Alcantara inserts, faux carbon fiber accents and aluminum pedals.
Under the hood the 2018 Skoda Superb Sportline is powered by a 1.8 litre TSI petrol motor producing 180 PS of power and 320 Nm of twisting force, coupled to a quick shifting 7-speed DSG gearbox.
There is also a diesel variant on offer. The oil burner packs in 177 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are complemented by a 6-speed DSG unit. The 2018 Skoda Superb Sportline rivals the likes of the Volkswagen Passat and the Toyota Camry in the Indian market.
